Happy New Year Thundee Fam!!

We are starting off the '24 with a BANG. There is so much going on at the gym this month, and we are excited about all of it. If you have been in a little bit of a funk, or if you are ready to throw some gas on the fire - we highly encourage you to get involved with this month's activities and start the year off strong.

Bring A Friend Week / New Referral Program

The week of January 8th we are doing our first ever Bring a Friend Week. Share your gainz with friends and family. They get a free week of classes (they can come with or without you). You both get to spin the wheel for a door prize. And if they sign up to join the Thundee Fam, you both get rewarded with our new Referral Program.

We are kicking off the Referral Program during BAFW - but it is here to stay all year long. It's super simple. If you refer a friend, and they join the gym - YOU get $65 and THEY get $65. It's our way of saying thank you for spreading the word.

Nutrition Challenge

The week of January 15th we will be starting an 8 Week Nutrition Challenge. This challenge teaches the foundations of OptimizeMe Nutrition's Three Pillars Method and combine the 800g Challenge with Lazy Macros tracking. These are the same principles that Coach Becky teaches with her nutrition clients. And how is this for a testimonial - our very own Bonnie Hermey has lost over 90 Pounds following the program.

The cost of the program will be $40. The challenge will include daily content loaded in SugarWOD to teach you everything you need to know. There is also a daily scorecard, and online challenge scoreboard to help track your progress. We will have prizes along the way for participation, and a grand prize raffle at the end for the top 10. Sign up for the challenge at the gym on front room whiteboard.

Competitor's Course / Open Prep

We will be running a special Competitor's Course for our more competitive athletes and prepping them to crush the 2024 CrossFit Open. We will be focusing on the most commonly seen Open Movements, and be leaning into threshold training to be as prepared as possible for whatever comes our way. The competitors will be doing a few extra conditioning pieces per week outside of class - so if you see them putting in work, cheer them on. This course is currently SOLD OUT!

January Programming Notes

In January our class programming will be centered around our "ALL GAS" cycle. With the CrossFit Open coming up at the beginning of March its time to start working our very high horsepower capacity. So we will be seeing 1-2 ALL GAS workouts per week, including some past CF Open tests. We will also be continuing with deadlift and backsquat strength pieces - but we will be doing our strength sets AFTER the workout because that is typically how they have tested strength in the Open.
